Looked at us for about 10 secs with it's head out the water again then swam off.

Stayed there till the tide came in.

Diving every minute or so and re-appearing close by. It remained in contact for about 10 minutes. The other seal was slightly larger, but remained at a distance of about 100 metres. They did not appear to be feeding.
